At this time of year we really try to avoid making changes to our infrastructure and we know it’s far from ideal timing for you as well. However, we have received advance warning from one of our vendors about some security issues that are being publicly released on Thursday, 18th December (NZDT).
Due to the nature of these issues we need to apply important security patches to the servers powering our Virtual Private Server, Virtual Dedicated Server, and Cloud Hosting platforms.
During the maintenance window your virtual servers will be rebooted, so if you haven’t already, we would recommend you check that your server is safe to reboot.
We apologise for the timing of this maintenance, we’re not happy about it either, but the security and stability of our platforms is our top priority. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
